Day 1 - OSCP

Today I've received all the course materials, they are all in downloadable format, which make things much more convenience, so I can watch it anywhere without needing to have some kind of internet connection.

The training videos are well spoken and it starts from the very fundamental tools like Netcat, SSH, starting HTTP services to much more advanced things like buffer overflow / antivirus avoidance.

72 hours were given to download all course materials, which consists 148 videos and one 376 pages PDF file. Everything is watermarked with your name and address and OSCP ID so you won't share freely and if you do, they will know who, which is a pretty smart way of refraining people from pirating, these guys know what they're doing.

Started out going through all the training video and read through the policy and rules so I don't break any of them. Did a quick NMAP scan on the network and  found most of the hosts and services provided. Tried Metasploit / Hail marry / SMB exploit one of the Win7 machine, was unsuccessful.
=(  This sure won't be an easy course, which is a good thing, I want it to be challenging so I learn something and not wasting money just one a piece of paper.  I guess I will have to try harder and study harder.
